Quantitative aggregation of the active Sensor Points in the 3D scene
The values shown in this section represent the aggregation of data from the active Sensor Points currently displayed in the 3D scene. Ensure you fully understand this correlation and that the scene displayed matches the area you wish to evaluate.
Sensor Point values are subject to the specific selections, filters, and parameters defined in the GUI. For example, aggregations may be affected by self-obstruction unless the "Unobstructed" filter is applied. Various other controls and filters, such as sky cloud-cover, diffusion parameters, PV and glazing efficiencies, and surface-coverage ratios, are available to help you generate the most accurate results for your analysis.
Solar Radiation
Yearly Sun: Total incident solar time or energy over the entire year, and its main direction. Calculated by aggregating all months, days, hours, and minutes of the year, according to the simulation settings.
Monthly Sun: Total incident solar time or energy of a specific month, and its main direction. Calculated by aggregating all days, hours and minutes of that month, according to the simulation settings.
Hourly Sun: Total incident solar time or energy of a specific hour, and its main direction. Calculated by aggregating all the minutes of that hour across all days of the year, according to the simulation settings.

Main Unit:
Energy
- Yearly Sun: kWh/m2/y (Yearly energy per unit of surface)
- Monthly Sun: kWh/m2/y (Energy for selected Month/s per unit of surface)
- Hourly Sun: kWh/m2/y (Yearly aggregate energy for selected Hour/s per unit of surface)
Time
- Yearly Sun: h/y (Yearly sun-hours)
- Monthly Sun: h/y (Sun-hours for selected Month/s)
- Hourly Sun: h/y (Yearly aggregate sun-hours for selected Hour/s) -
Number of active Sensor Points: n
-
Average Solar Energy or Time (Yearly, Monthly or Hourly): kWh/year or h/year
-
Total Solar Energy (Yearly, Monthly or Hourly): GWh/year
Obtained by summing the energy per unit of surface (kWh/m2), with each value multiplied by its reference area (grid resolution × grid resolution). The result represents the total incident energy hitting the entire reference surface of the scene. This metric can be used to compare, in absolute terms, the incident energy between different scenes or sites. -

Free View
The free visibility from a given observation point, quantified as a fraction of a defined visible area or volume (horizontal circle, half-circle looking outwards from the site center, sphere, etc).

Points above Free View selected threshold: %
Target View
The visibility of a specific target area, quantified as the percentage that target occupies within a full spherical field-of-view. You can switch between different targets (e.g., lake, river, forest, custom polygon) defined during the Geodata setup.
